Breakthrough UK is seeking committed, strategic leaders to join our Board of Trustees and help drive our next phase of growth and impact.<\/p><p>We are a disability\u2011led organisation working to remove barriers, influence policy, and create a more inclusive society. As we strengthen our financial resilience and expand our social enterprise activity, we are looking for Trustees who can bring expertise in lived experience, finance, governance, income generation, marketing, leadership, and business development.<\/p><p><strong>Why Join Our Board?<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Play a pivotal role in shaping a rights\u2011based, disability\u2011led organisation<\/li><li>Use your professional expertise to drive sustainable growth and influence national policy<\/li><li>Gain valuable leadership and governance experience<\/li><li>Work alongside people with diverse lived experiences<\/li><li>Receive induction, training, and ongoing support, with access adjustments as required<\/li><li>Benefit from regular 1:1s with the Chair or Vice Chair<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>What You\u2019ll Do as a Trustee<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Champion disability rights, inclusion, and accessibility<\/li><li>Provide strong governance and strategic oversight<\/li><li>Support income growth through social enterprise, partnerships, and fundraising strategy<\/li><li>Strengthen financial planning, risk management, and long\u2011term sustainability<\/li><li>Shape our communications and marketing approach to amplify our message<\/li><li>Support the CEO and leadership team to deliver impact and innovation<\/li><li>Ensure our work is shaped by lived experience and co\u2011production<\/li><li>Uphold our values of equity, transparency, and collaboration<\/li><\/ul><p>Board meetings are held quarterly (currently online), with occasional additional sessions for strategy or sub\u2011committees.<\/p><p><strong>Who We\u2019re Looking For<\/strong><\/p><p>We welcome applications from people with lived experience of disability and from those who bring expertise in one or more of the following areas:<\/p><p><strong>Finance &amp; Governance<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Financial planning, budgeting, audit, or charity finance<\/li><li>Strengthening governance, compliance, and accountability<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Income Growth &amp; Business Development<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Social enterprise development<\/li><li>Fundraising strategy, partnerships, or income diversification<\/li><li>Commercial or entrepreneurial experience<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Marketing &amp; Communications<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Brand development, digital engagement, or social media strategy<\/li><li>Ability to amplify our voice and extend our reach<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Leadership &amp; Strategy<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Senior leadership experience in any sector<\/li><li>Strategic planning, organisational development, or change leadership<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Disability &amp;
