client Caleb to a new career in retail with Marks and Spencer.<\/p><p>Caleb said, \u201cI was trying to get into Marks and Spencer, and they supported me with my application form, and I felt encouraged and confident.\u201d<\/p><p>Following a negative experience at a previous work placement, Caleb joined Breakthrough with a number of barriers to overcome around confidence, self-esteem and communication.<\/p><p>After meeting Employment Engagement Officer Shirley, he expressed his interest in retail work.<\/p><p>Shirley said, \u201cWe discussed group sessions at Breakthrough\u2019s Youth Choices project where he could meet other young people, work on communication skills and join in social activities.\u201d<\/p><p>Caleb then applied to Marks and Spencer for an in store position. Following feedback after the interview, The Prince\u2019s Trust were then approached for a 6-week placement.<\/p><p>Shirley added, \u201cWe were all delighted when he completed the placement and did very well, his confidence, self-esteem and communications skills all improved.<\/p><p>\u201cCaleb has been offered a three month paid traineeship.
