Deansgate-Castlefield tram stop in the category \u201cInfrastructure Project of the Year\u201d.\u00a0The national awards are presented by the Architects Journal and \u201ccelebrate and reward design excellence in UK architecture\u201d.<\/p><p>Dave Green from Simpson Haugh architects valued the input from DDRG and specifically mentioned the role of the group in his submission:<\/p><p>\u201cExtensive stakeholder consultation took place during development, particularly regular consultation with the Disability Design Reference Group, allowing input from people representing a range of disabilities. The collective feedback received on designs with a focus on accessibility informed all decisions, from the nature and location of the new accesses from street level and the height of stop equipment, to appropriate levels of translucency of the fritted leaf pattern in the scalloped canopies over the platforms &#8211;
